Old Harbor Light

5.0/51 Reviews

Old Harbor Light in Savannah, Georgia is a great place for photographers to visit because of its picturesque location and historical significance. The lighthouse is situated on the southern end of Cockspur Island, at the mouth of the Savannah River. The lighthouse, built in 1867, is now closed to the public, but it’s possible to get a good view of it from nearby Tybee Island and by boat. The lighthouse offers great view of the Atlantic ocean and the coastal landscape around it. It can be a great spot to take sunset or sunrise shots, as well as capturing sea birds, boats and ships passing by.

The lighthouse is an interesting example of 19th-century maritime architecture and it has been an active navigational aid for many years, that is why it’s an ideal place for photographers who are interested in capturing the history and beauty of the coastal landscape and maritime heritage. Old Harbor Light is a great spot to capture images that reflect both the natural beauty and the maritime history of Savannah.
